The Field Technician Specialist, under the direction of the Supervisor, Gulf Coast Operations, has the primary job function to support the safe and efficient delivery of API 510/570/653 inspections of aboveground storage tanks and pressure vessels.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain a safe work environment and ensure the use of proper safety procedures and equipment.
Responsible to assist in the successful completion of all field projects as directed.
Responsible for accurate communications with all crew members.
Must be able to carry out directions of the crew Foreman.
Maintain punctuality and perform all duties professionally.
Perform NDE tasks as required.
Must perform all work and travel safely.
Other duties as assigned.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENT:

2-4 years of industry experience.
Experience with a field service company will be required.
Ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers, management, vendors and customers.
Must be willing to travel by air when needed (approximately 75% travel), with little notice including travel overnight and by air.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Must have valid driver’s license, have or ability to obtain a passport, TWIC card (homeland security).
Ability to pass background and drug testing.
Must be comfortable with heights and tight spaces.
Must have knowledge or certified to perform MT, VT, MFE, PT and other NDE methods as required.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

May include occasional exposure to shop environment involving lifting of material and/or products up to 30 pounds. Must be available by phone during nonstandard working hours. Includes a heavy travel schedule estimated 75%.

The Field Technician Foreman, under the direction of the Supervisor, Gulf Coast Operations, has the primary job function to lead and facilitate the safe and efficient delivery of API 510/570/653 related services including robotic inspections of aboveground storage tanks and pressure vessels.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain a safe work environment and ensure that safety procedures are being followed and equipment is in proper working order
Perform all inspections are in accordance with API 653 and other related standards.
Document all inspection activities in accordance with company and customer guidelines.
Recommend repairs and perform an inspection of completed repair work, as appropriate.
Manage accurate and professional communications with both customers and the office.
Manage and direct the field crew to efficiently complete each project.
Must be able to make quick decisions on the job to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Complete all required training within company guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.

5 years of field inspection experience.
Must be API-653 Certified.

Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing.
Ability to pass background and drug testing, including ongoing random testing.
Must have valid driver’s license, have or ability to obtain a passport, TWIC card (homeland security).

Must have knowledge or certified to perform MT, VT, MFE, PT and other NDE methods as required.
