Maintain a safe work environment and ensure that safety procedures are being followed and equipment is in proper working order
Perform all inspections are in accordance with API 653 and other related standards
Document all inspection activities in accordance with company and customer guidelines
Recommend repairs and perform an inspection of completed repair work, as appropriate
Manage accurate and professional communications with both customers and the office
Manage and direct the field crew to efficiently complete each project
Must be able to make quick decisions on the job to ensure the successful completion of projects
Complete all required training within company guidelines
Other duties as assigned


5 years of field inspection experience
Must be API-653 Certified
Ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers, management, vendors, and customers
Must be willing to travel by air when needed (approximately 75% travel), with little notice including travel overnight and by air
Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing
Ability to pass background and drug testing, including ongoing random testing
Must have valid driver’s license, have or ability to obtain a passport, TWIC card (homeland security)
Must be comfortable with heights and tight spaces
Must have the knowledge or certified to perform MT, VT, MFE, PT and other NDE methods as required


  • May include occasional exposure to shop environment involving lifting of material and/or products up to 30 pounds
  • Must be available by phone during nonstandard working hours
  • Includes travel schedule estimated 75%
